The Thumb Pad is exactly the same as on Super Pro rods. It is a fully functional means of transmitting vibration to feel those nibbles from lighter biting fish in winter. The guides resist icing and are durable enough to clear ice from them. They have a 10 size reel with 4 ball bearings, a full size aluminum spool and 1 way clutch. The lubricant works well even in below zero temperatures. The reel body is coated with a soft touch PVC paint so it doesn't feel cold.
